PROs:I volunteered in the Living History Program for Nine months as a Typist in the college program. I liked Yale New Haven Hospital because the staff considered the needs of the prospective volunteer. The staff also considered the wants of the volunteer and abilities of the volunteer. I also like Yale New Haven Hospital because the volunteer staff are flexible with hours. Even though, I have a disability, the volunteer staff didn't treat me unfairly and weren't rude or sarcastic towards me. CONS: Unfortunately, my volunteer coordinator was sick most of the time, so I had to call when I needed to come in. A lot of the times the hospital didn't need me because most of the people in the program type and interview. Overall: I think Yale New Haven Hospital is a wonderful hospital to volunteer at. However, you may want to look at the opportunities on the website and research what their about before volunteering.
