Mission Statement

New Horizons Caregivers Group Cares and Gives. Helping those in need by providing free groceries to those in need with specific concern for single parent families, with children at risk.

Working closely with re-education facilities and low-income elementary school families New Horizons promotes the importance of education as a way of breaking the chain of poverty.

Description

Each week New Horizons picks up donated products for sorting and redistribution to the community in need. Many donated products are provided every week to recovery homes with single parent mothers who are learning good parenting skills and getting help to find good jobs to support their families.

Every month New Horizons provides free food distributions to low-income families through local elementary schools located in the La Puente, California area. These distributions focus on getting the low-income parents engaged with the local school, teachers and their children's education. This program is called FIESTA which stands for "Family Incentives Equals Students Taking Action." New Horizons has had great success with the FIESTA Progam and getting parents to commit to help their children do better in school.
