Mission Statement

The mission of the Bethel Land Trust is to protect and preserve the natural areas in Bethel, CT for the benefit of all the citizens of Bethel. Land trusts are private, non-profit corporatins organized on a voluntary basis to receive donations of woodland, water ways and open green space for the purposes of education, recreation and conservation.

The Bethel Land Trust is an all volunteer, non-profit organization that was established in 1977. We currently have over 220 acres of land in various sections of Bethel, CT. All this land is open to the public for recreation and observation. Last year we were awarded a grant from the state of Connecticut to build a boardwalk threw a marsh which will connect hiking trails which are now separated from one another by a busy road.

Description

We need volunteers who can help us build this boardwalk. You don't need special skills, but you do need to be able to lift boards and drill in screws.
