Mission Statement
Dogs Help Kids, Inc is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational charity formed fo the support of children's literacy education. Our mission is to provide dogs specifically trained with children to support teachers with their classroom students and their established curriculums.
Description
Canine Assisted Education is a curriculum-directed intervention in which a trained dog/tutor supports the already established programs of the school. Educational benefits can be seen in the form of measurable test results as the dog helps to facilitate the academic goals set by the administration. This canine intervention is delivered or monitored by a professional teacher, retired teacher, or a paraprofessional.
We are opening a training facility to train both dogs and owners. For more information, see http://www.thecognitivedog.com
