Mission Statement
We provide free, confidential peer counseling for individuals. Services are provided by lay volunteers trained in active listening. This is the basic "talk therapy" style of counseling, where we ask open ended questions and give our clients the space to explore whatever it is they would like to talk about. We do not give advice or diagnose. We cannot write or fill prescriptions. We do offer referrals to other low-cost Bay Area mental health resources.
Description
Drop-in peer counseling is available every Monday - Friday from 6:30-8:30 PM. On Saturdays, we offer counseling services are offered to women, transgender clients, and gender non-conforming individuals from 12-2:30 pm.
Ongoing scheduled individual counseling may be set up through drop-ins.
