Description

We are devoted to producing theatre that engages the mind and creates change. We run the annual summer Richmond Shakespeare Festival at historic Agecroft Hall in the summer and tour in the fall and spring months. Productions place emphasis on the importance of the word and play rather than elaborate scenery and costumes. Cast is usually minimal, with frequent "doubling" or playing more than one role. Production also heavily engages interactivity so that there is a union of performer and audience. Other programs- 1-2 person literary adaptations (ie, A Christmas Carol), One Actor Spectacular - a one person piece involving a character of historic or literary significance Workshops and residencies available throughout eastern and middle US.
