Mission Statement

The Saratoga Palio seeks to become the premier half-marathon in upstate New York, while raising funds for community-oriented organizations in the Saratoga Springs area and Capital District.

Description

The Saratoga Palio is one of upstate New York's premier half-marathons, raising funds for the Melanie Merola O'Donnell Memorial Scholarship Fund and other Saratoga area charitable organizations. The scholarship, which is the primary recipient of funds raised, rewards highly qualified individuals pursuing a graduate degree in a mental health field. 2009 is the first year the race will be raising funds for other organizations as well, this year choosing to assist Saratoga Bridges, the premier community resource for people with disabilities and their families.
