Mission Statement

The Literacy Council of Lancaster-Lebanon exists to promote literacy and to help adults improve their basic reading, writing, math, and English communication skills. All program services are free of charge. We believe that the ability to read is critical to personal freedom and the maintenance of democratic society. As our culture becomes more complex and dependent on technology, literacy becomes evermore basic to survival and the achievement of one's potential.
