PATHWAYS Leadership for Progress is an international educational assistance and leadership training program that:
Awards university scholarships to disadvantaged youth in developing countries (AIDS orphans, women, others);
Provides mentoring to shepherd motivated students who want to improve their countries;
Builds tomorrow's leaders in their own communities; and
Offers an ongoing support network.
Our goal is prepare PATHWAYS students so they are equipped to be leaders for tomorrow
PATHWAYS Leadership for Progress is a non-profit organziation to provide scholarships and leadership training to qualified, though disadvantaged youth (AIDS orphans, women, others) in developing countries. Leadership skills are gained through the requirement of a community project developed and carried out by each PATHWAYS scholar during their university career. The organization, founded in 2005, was created so that young people with good ideas for the future of their communities and country could be given a chance to carry out the ideas and gain valuable leadership skills in the process.
Scholars receive expert advice from the PATHWAYS student coordinator, the PATHWAYS vice president in Kenya, and the PATHWAYS mentors.
We started the program in Kenya and have the goal of moving into other developing countries as we grow.
