Description

Western Maine Community Action is a non-profit social service agency. We serve people in the Franklin, Androscoggin, and Oxford counties in Maine.

Services we offer to the community are Employment & Training Services, Health Services, Housing & Energy Services, Nutrition Services, Elder Services, and Community Services. For a full description of what programs we have to assist you please visit our website. Some of our services require income eligibility.

We currently employ 75 staff in various types of positions - full time, part time and on call status. Most of our funds come from the federal goverment through block grants, and are passed through the state of Maine. We receive some funds through donations, private foundations, and local sources such as the county commissioners and United Way agencies.
