Mission Statement
Our mission is to establish fenced-in, off-leash dog parks in greater Birmingham, Alabama where well-behaved canine companions can exercise and play in a clean, safe environment without endangering themselves or disturbing people, property or wildlife; to develop a beautiful, well-maintained space, open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions; to view this park as a community project, designed to satisfy the needs of dog owners and non-dog owners alike.
Description
We want you to enjoy parks where your dog can safely run, roll over and socialize with canine friends. Time spent in a dog park helps to satisfy your dog's cravings for canine companionship, and lets them burn off extra energy by running and playing with other dogs off leash in a safe, contained area.
Bark for a Park is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to open dog parks in the greater Birmingham area and to promote public health and safety through education.
We were founded by a group of dedicated volunteers who love their dogs and their community, and who want to be a part of launching Birmingham's premier dog park. Please join in this great effort.
