Mission Statement

To assist women in Nebraska and Iowa in achieving their own economic success through self-employment.

The Center for Women Entrepreneurs sees self-employment as a means out of poverty and to women's economic self-sufficiency and prosperity. Through this economic development effort, we expect to empower our customers and help them start building strong business and life management skills. We also see our program having an influence on the growth of the Omaha/Council Bluffs business community as well as help create new jobs in the inner-city neighborhoods.

We have compiled a Nebraska Women-Owned-Business (WOB) Directory to raise the public profile of women business owners. The directory is also a tool for individuals and companies that are looking to do business with women-owned companies, and will be a resource for women-owned businesses that want to support each other.
