Mission Statement

Our Mission is to build mutual understanding and respect by linking diverse international cultural communities.

Description

DFW International Community Alliance was established in 1997 with the creation of our website, www.dfwinternational.org. We are the portal to international North Texas: through our extensive network of Board members, collaborative partners, and volunteers we connect more than 1,600 internationally-focused organizations in the North Texas metroplex, a region where 40% of the residents are the foreign-born and their children.

DFW International Community Alliance focuses on education, events and workshops, and communication, and we utilize our website, email bulletin, and Yahoo groups to link and serve the residents of multicultural North Texas.

The information in our regional reports and series of five Guides for New Americans has been used by the media, government officials, and residents alike - not only because of the helpful content, but also to shine a light on an already vibrantly-hued sector of our population.
