Description
About Tomorrow's Business Leaders
Tomorrow's Business Leaders (TBL) provides students with skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and exposes them to a wide variety of career paths.
TBL was founded in 2004 by Harvard University graduates working in business in New York City and has grown to include a volunteers who are entrepreneurs as well as those who work at top firms in consulting, marketing, technology finance, publishing and other industries.
Our volunteers are young professionals excited to go into the classroom and share real-life experiences with the students.
We teach in several schools throughout the New York City community . Each volunteer teaches one class with other TBL volunteers, typically once every two weeks. Our curriculum lasts for a semester, and we prefer a two-semester commitment.
Recognizing and closing the gap
New York City public high school students with potential often do not live or learn in environments conducive to learning about business and professional career development. Nor do they typically have equal access to the role models who may inspire and coach them toward business or career success.
At the same time, New York City is a global business center and full of professionals who have the knowledge and skills to succeed.
With every class, TBL aims to connect these two populations. We bring successful and enthusiastic business professional into the classroom, and students get exposure to the business environments and opportunities straight from the experts.
