Mission Statement
The Indiana Leadership Froum identifies and trains political leaders by providing the education, networking opportunities and on-going support needed to actively engage in government and the community.
Description
Founded in 1993, the ILF is an ongoing civic education program designed to prepare emerging private sector leaders for citizen-leadership service by providing networking and educational opportunities during seven day work sessions.
Classes will begin in November and meet once a month until June. The speakers and curriculum are second to none. You will learn about the mechanics of the political process, campaign techniques, and media relations, as well as meet with local, state and national political leaders.
This program is ideal for 1) business and community leaders who want to be more effective navigating the political waters; 2) people who see themselves as candidates for public office in the next 1-3 years; and 3) campaign staff and volunteers.
The tuition is $1000, plus travel expenses associated with the three-day trip to Washington, DC. Participants are encouraged to have their tuition and expenses sponsored by their business, county party organization, legislators/local elected officials, or political mentors.
