Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Hancock County Food Pantry, Inc. to provide free food and personal hygience products to the sitizens of Hancock County Mississippi when they find themselves in a "crisis or emergency" situation.

Description

The Hancock County Food Pantry, Inc. was founded in 1986 by community churches to provide food to families in times of crisis. The Food Pantry was incorporated and registerd with the Mississippi Secretary of State in that same year. The Food Pantry has kept its doors open every working day since its inception until August 29, 2005 to provide free food and personal hygiene products for the citizens of Hancock County, MS who needed our help. The Pantry is staffed entirely by volunteers and spends in excess of 85% of all donated funds to purchase food and personal hygiene products.
