Mission Statement

The Montgomery County Office on Youth is seeking volunteers to serve as mentors for at risk youth in the community. The mentor will serve as a positive role model for the child. Mentors are required to spend approximately three hours a week with their mentee (often occurs on weekends) and are asked to commit to the program for a period of one year. There will be group activities held monthly for all mentors and mentees; in the past these group activities have included white water rafting, hiking, skiing, etc. Prospective mentors must attend a training session and interview prior to being matched with a child. Criminal background checks will be run.

Description

The Montgomery County Office on Youth serves the community's children. The Office provides several programs for juveniles providing positive role models in order to decrease delinquent activity.
