Mission Statement

Crozer-Keystone Health System is committed to the improved health status of those we serve. Through a seamless, user friendly continuum of quality health services including primary and health promotion, acute and long-term care, through rehabilitation, and resorative care, Crozer-Keystone will deploy its resources in a cost-effective and community-responsive manner.

Working in partnership with our physicians and other health professionals, we will seek to forge new alliances with other community health and social service organizations.

Description

We encourage the continuation of a meaningful life in the presence of a terminal illness. Crozer-Keystone Health System Hospice Programs include patients with cancer; and end stage cardiac, renal and pulmonary disease; as well as HIV infections, end-stage Alzheimer's disease, and other diseases that are terminal. A large measure of the Hospice Program's effectiveness revolves around the attitude of understanding, confidence and hope. Through the help of our supportive services, the Hospice Program can provide physicial, emotional, social and spiritual care to Hospice patients and their families.

The Hospice Program offers hope that remaining time can be symptom-free, and that each day can be lived in the company of family, friends and caring professionals.

Hospice affirms life! It looks upon life as precious and at each day as a gift to be lived to its fullest. Hospice will neither hasten nor postpone death, but allows the patient to die in peace and dignity, surrounded by loved ones and cherished places. Hospice seeks to permit the nobility of life to exist as long as there is breath itself.
