Would you recommend P.A.T.C.H. - Pet Adoption Thru Caring Hands?
I volunteered at Patch for years. As it's founder used to say..."It's a Labor of Love". There were many opportunities to help the cats, whether you were tending to their food and shelter or socializing them. We made sure that every cat was cared for well, and when they were adopted we were VERY careful that they were leaving for a happy home where they would be appreciated and lovingly cared for.
I LOVE PATCH! I had to estimate the dates I volunteered there because I honestly can't remember, but I loved volunteering there. I had to stop due to health reasons but I am currently trying to get back into volunteering there. They are so good to the cats and treat them very well. They make sure they get medical treatment they need and that all the cats get time out of their cages to stretch their legs and play. They're an amazing place.
PATCH is a no-kill shelter run entirely by volunteers who love cats. The owner provides a wonderful home for any cat or kitten who needs one and the volunteers are all totally dedicated to these animals. The cats live in spacious cages and get lots of playtime outside of their cages with other cats and many volunteers to help socialize with them and get them ready for adoption. I've only been doing this about six weeks but really look forward to spending time with the cats as well as the other volunteers. If cats need medical attention, they receive it quickly. If everyone cared as much about cats as PATCH and its volunteers, we would have no strays or homeless cats to care for! I definitely recommend adopting from here and it's also a wonderful volunteer experience. I get far more from helping to socialize these cats than they get from me.
