Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
The Morikami Museum provides educational and leisure opportunities that acquaint visitors with the Japanese culture and encourage them to discover the contributions Japanese immigrants made in the settlement and development of Palm Beach County. Through its programs, exhibits, festivals, and other sevices, The Museum thrives to create an atmosphere for developing an understanding of both the diverse and common values existing between the American and Japanese cultures.
The Morikami Museum is a cultural museum featuring a changing Japanese exhibit, Japanese Gardens, tea house (with monthly tea ceremonies), Museum Shop and Cafe. Educational courses are held in Sumi-e ink painting, Ikebana flower design, language, photography, as well as Japanese arts and crafts in our Saturday Family Programs. Three festivals are held years - Hatsume (celebrating the first bud of spring), Children's Day, and OBON. In the year 2002 The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a year long celebration and special events.
