Mission Statement

It was estimated that 6,000-7,000 dogs were euthanized in participating Denver animal shelters in 2006. Colorado Canine Rescue will rescue dogs slated to be euthanized. In prioritizing dogs to be rescued, dogs most likely to be adoptable will come first. Colorado Canine Rescue will provide rescued dogs with individualized plans to prepare them for adoption. Potential adoptive families will be screened carefully, counseled and provided training. Follow-up will be a key component referring adoptive families to appropriate training or activities.
