Description

The Young Volunteers in Action (YVA) program links young people between the ages of 12 and 18 to school-year and/or summer volunteer opportunities in the Durham, North Carolina area based on their interests, skills, and availability. Interested young people should register online at www.thevolunteercenter.org in order to receive volunteer opportunities related to their interests and needs. The program recognizes its volunteers annually through an awards ceremony - some volunteers receive the Mayor's Award. The YVA program also helps youth clubs and groups find service projects.
