The Mission of Small Potatoes Gleaning Project is to rescue as much local produce as possible from Whatcom County farms and home orchards and gardens and to distribute the gleaned fruits and vegetables to low-income families and needy populations.

Description

Small Potatoes Gleaning Project, a part of the Bellingham Food Bank, bridges the gap between local surplus produce that would otherwise be wasted and those who are hungry in Whatcom County. Volunteers glean fruits and vegetables from area farms and home orchards and collect donations from vendors after weekly Farmers Markets. Then, the food is distributed to communities in need.
