Mission Statement

The William S. Hart Museum,as a member of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County family of Museums, exists to promote the appreciation and understanding of Western Life, culture, and art. The William S. Hart Museum is an integral part of the elementary education of school children countywide, as its programs fit into the California State Curriculum. The Museum's education programs support ideas of stewardship, environmental awareness, philanthropy, and community involvement in accordance with William S. Hart's personal philosophy. "This Park has been dedicated by William S. Hart for the benefit of the American People of every race and creed."
