Mission Statement

The mission of School on Wheels is to increase the independence and decrease the isolation of marginalized women in Immokalee, FL by teaching them basic English conversational skills in the security of their homes.

Description

School on Wheels is a woman to woman program where the volunteer goes to the migrant woman's home to teach basic survival English so that the migrant women may help their children with their homework, to speak with their children's doctors,to learn simple job-related phrases, or other areas in which tgey desire instruction. No teaching experience or other language is required.
