Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.

Mission Statement Community Counts is dedicated to increasing the integrity of the human spirit by fostering meaningful interactions and positive accountability within the community and by healing the chronic ills of our community one positive connection at a time. Community Counts' mission is to join together corporations and non-profit organizations to build a better community.
Welcome to Community Counts- Project
Thank you for coming to our site. We are a small nonprofit organization that supports our non-profit partners through our theme-based strategies.
Our new partnership project is titled "Military Makeover."
Our vision is to provide a new start for veterans and related service individuals that were injured in the line of duty.
We believe the best method of recovery is to immediately create a better living environment while implementing a program to increase their cognitive skills.
Our method includes two key elements.
Creating a warm home environment for each person in transition. (Similar to a Home Makeover)
Developing programs that focus on rebuilding each individual’s cognitive skills by focusing on a therapeutic model as they make their re-entry into their life as a civilian.
We achieve these objectives by using teams of individuals skilled in Interior Design. These teams consist of the best interior designers and design students for whom they serve as a mentor. Each team then creates a home makeover for each of the injured individuals.
