Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is made up of three areas:
Health Services
Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is the largest provider of reproductive health care services in Los Angeles County. The agency provides health services to more than 100,000 women, men and teens in Los Angeles County a year, 93% of whom come to the agency for family planning services, and 72% of whom are at or below the federal poverty level. Planned Parenthood Los Angeles' health care professionals create a non-judgmental, relaxed environment for our clients. All of our services are strictly confidential, safe, and convenient with fifteen health center locations throughout LA County. All locations have bilingual staff (English/Spanish).
Education
Planned Parenthood Los Angeles's responsible education and outreach programs deliver sexuality and family planning education to more than 70,000 teens, women and men a year. Our outreach programs include middle and high school responsible sexuality courses, parent-child communication programs, Promotoras Comunitarias (Latina community health educators), and teen education programs, like Crculo de Salud and the Ujima Program. Presentations are tailored to specific audiences - females, males, young and old. With subjects ranging from puberty to mid-life issues and abstinence to contraception, Planned Parenthood Los Angeles has it covered.
Advocacy
Planned Parenthood Los Angeles works to involve people and impact decision-makers in the fight to secure and protect access to a full range of quality reproductive health care services. We work at the local, state and federal level to advocate for medically accurate sexuality education, contraceptive equity, clinic safety, abortion rights, and access to reproductive health care for all people.
