We operate eight sites to serve children and youth ages 6-18 in Nashville/Davidson and Franklin/Williamson Counties in Tennessee. The organization was founded in 1903 and presently serves 3,200 children. Demographics about the population we serve are as follows: Age Group: 6-9 years old 37%, 10-12 years old 39%, and 13-18 years old 24%. Race: African-American 75%, Caucasian 19%, Hispanic-American 11%, Asian-American 3%, Other Ethnic Origin 1%. Children from Single Parent Households 63%. Household Income: Under $15,000 37% and Under $20,000 57%. Gender: Male 64% and Female 36%.

I am a member of the Wyman Teen Leadership Program and it teaches me leadership skiills that i can use in my everyday life.I am 13 year old right now and am in my first year.A requirement of the program is to complete 40 hours of community service throughout the school year.
