Mission Statement

The Bickelhaupt Arboretum is a 14 acre outdoor museum of select labeled trees, shrubs, ground covers, perennials and annuals offered to visitors free of charge. We have a mission to serve as a connection between people and plants through a better understanding of horticulture by developing and maintaining a well documentd collection of plants for education and enjolyment.

Description

Open dawn to dusk, daily, free of charge, private operating foundation, endowed in perpetuity, grounds, education center, library, museum display of native animals. Collections include: dwarf and rare conifers, prairie grasses and flowers of native midwest prairies, flowering trees and shrubs, hosta hillside, daylily award winning collection, etc. Group tours and maps for self-directed tours
