Mission Statement

RWR will focus on community needs and the needs of those affected by mental illness, drug addiction, alcoholism, abuse and neglect, incarceration, domestic violence, and other traumatic life events. We will be guided by the pursuit of the following bible-based principles - Commitment to inspire pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, life skills and instill a sense of hope in the future - Responsibility to empower children and youth in establishing goals and following through on commitments - Possibility to expand the perspective of children and young people to make them aware of life's possibilities - Support to surround children and young people in a caring, inclusive learning environment which will in turn strengthen their family units.

Description

Remember When Ranch, Inc. RWR will be assisting these families and young people using traditional and innovative approaches, created in Phases including: · Rescue and rehabilitation of horses to be used for therapeutic horsemanship for mental and physical disabilities, as well as adopting to new homes when possible. · a state of the art mentoring and counseling program · Afterschool program developing into birth to 12 year old state licensed daycare · vocational education for youth and adults (including victims of domestic violence) · family education with spiritual guidance · community gardens, food bank, clothing, etc. in conjunction with our sister nonprofit "Unto Others" · assist with housing for some of these families as well (including temporary safe houses for victims of domestic violence, when necessary). (non-publicized for safety)
