Mission Statement

Cowlitz County Child Advocates identifies, equips, and supports volunteer advocates to speak up for the best interests of every abused and neglected cihld in our Dependency Court System. We need your help to continue advocating for children in our community!

Description

At CCCA, we identify, equip, and support quality volunteers from all over Cowlitz County to advocate for children and work toward a safe, loving, and permanent home for every child. Giving the child a voice in court enhances the ability of judges to make decisions that are in the best interest of each child.
We strive to educate the community about our mission and create meaningful partnerships with other community organizations that work for the best interest of children.
CCCA serves every child we are appointed to through the Juvenile Dependency court. We serve close to 400 children every year. Our staff monitors cases until a volunteer is available for each child. Volunteers are able to dedicate more time and care to one individual child or sibling group. This greatly enhances their chance of finding a safe, loving, and forever home in a shorter amount of time.

this sounds like a program that is so needed. Children need a voice .........we can be that. If you have a past or a vision this is a great place to make it happen. I for one have been in a vulnerable place really needing someone or something to be on my side. The pain doesnt end for these kids even after the voice has been heard but it helps them up out of the terror they should never have experienced.
