Mission Statement

To provide highly reliable disaster information services to state and local government agencies and to voluntary organizations active in disasters with which we hold memorandums of agreement. To do so both on the Internet and with deployable teams that provide services from disaster sites. To provide a capability for rapid information gathering, assessment, and fusion in response to disasters as they develop.

Description

An organization of regular service volunteers with a focus on disaster response and recovery who operate The Virtual Emergency Operations Center, an emergency management Internet site. The American Disaster Reserve is a uniformed disaster response volunteer organization which provides trained emergency management volunteers. We are organized in an Incident Command System organizational structure. Volunteers must swear the Virginia Emergency Services Oath, and become regular service volunteers for a state government agency.

Greetings & Salutations! Anyone who helps their neighbor in a time of need is okay with me and am glad to see community involvement, especially during and after a disaster. When one's intentions are from the heart, that's what counts! We need more volunteers!God Bless America!
