Mission Statement

The mission of the Touching Bases Softball League of Erie County, Inc. is to provide a safe and supportive environment in which adults with disabilities can play competitive softball. Our goal is to teach the rules of the game and skills necessary so that all involved will enjoy a team atmosphere where winning is only a small part of the experience. Providing socialization, education, recreation, support, and enjoyment of the game is paramount to the Touching Bases Program.

Description

Touching Bases Softball League is the largest softball league for adults (18 and older) with disabilities in Erie County. We play our games every Monday and Tuesdsay evening throughout the month of August in Lancaster (Walden Ponds) from 6-8pm. There is also a morning league that plays from 10am-12pm on Tuesdays at Walden Pond. Games are played with modified softball rules, hybrid rules combining actual softball rules with the ease of Challenger rules. Scores are kept, as are standings, and all players receive trophies at the end of the season.
