Description

Our Mission Persons with disabilities will be offered the opportunity to achieve self-determination and dignity among others in their community with our four core services.

  • Information and Referrals will be available giving persons with disabilities access to other services and consumer products necessary for their daily living and employment.
  • Skills training will provide an increase to self-reliance and dignity.
  • Peer support will enable the sharing of information and emotional support.
  • Individual and systems advocacy will be achieved through various avenues and methods to bring about change.
With these efforts, it is possible that persons with disabilities will achieve a greater degree of empowerment, self-determination, freedom and self-reliance than they have experienced in the past. It is believed that the positive attitude developed through the accomplishments will be the basis of self-pride and dignity previously known to them. They will then be confident to assume their place in the community in which they live in all aspects, i.e. civic, social, vocational opportunities, and responsibilities.
