Description

Rapoport Academy Public School is a No-tuition public charter school serving approx. 400 pre-k through 12th grade students. The Academy is an open-enrollment, lottery draw school with transfers accepted from 13 local school districts. With Superior TAKS scores, high attendance rates and outstanding teachers, R.A. is the ideal school for the student seeking an acfademically challenging environment.

In high school, language instruction includes Latin, Chinese, German and Spanish. Students can shoose from a host of extra curricular activities, including robotics and tocketry clugbs, basketball, volleyball, golf, t4ennis, track, swimming, music, 1-A UIL academic and athletic competions and more.

We are designated as and TSTEM and ECHS school as part of the Texas High School Project, through the Dell, Gates and Communities Fdn. of Texas.

The Academy is a Texas Education Association designated ECHS (early college high school) which enables our students to begin earning transferable college hours as high school freshmen (with no cost for tuition, books or fees).

In addition, R.A. is a TSTEM (Texas Science, Technology Engineering and Math)which means that our curriculum is built around STEM courses with integrated, relevant and innovative teaching in the humanities.

We set high standards for students and ourselves and offer tremendous support systems to help ensure success for each child. Parent involvement is strongly encouraged. Small class sizes, relevant, hands on activities, relationships and real world experiences are integral to that success. Our goal is that our students, not only are accepted to college, but that they complete college and, at 25, are successful, productive, happy members of their communities.
