Mission Statement
Volunteer MPS exists to positively affect the learning and achievement of students of all ages in the Minneapolis Public Schools by providing trained volunteers and meaningful opportunities for community members to support teachers.
Description
Volunteer MPS recruits, trains and places parents, college students and community members. A two-hour orientation is required for all volunteers, and additional subject-specific tutor trainings are available at various locations throughout the city. Volunteer MPS coordinates literacy training for volunteers working K-3 classrooms. For additional volunteer opportunities, visit volmps.mpls.k12.mn.us
