Mission Statement

The Golden Gate Philharmonic challenges each student to develop his/her musical skills to their fullest potential by: 1) introducing the GGP members to the exciting world of orchestral and chamber music. 2) encouraging students to make the commitment of developing their musical skills and teamwork skills. 3) earning a sense of empowerment, leadership and poise under pressure. 4) helping students enjoy the social and recreational aspects of participation in music. 5) giving students the opportunity to demonstrate their appreciation to the society which nutures them by performing at school and community functions.
