Mission Statement

The mission of Avenidas is to serve individuals age 50 and older, their families and/or the caregivers that assist them through a range of innovative services and programs designed to enhance independence and well being. The mission of the Avenidas Senior Day Health Center is to encourage the vitality, health and well-being of less independent adults and enable them to continue residing at home, while supporting and providing respite to their families and caregivers.

Description

Avenidas is a private, non-profit agency celebrating over 30 years of helping mid-Peninsula seniors live well, learn and maintain their independence. Avenidas serves seniors and caregivers in the communities of Palo Alto, Stanford, Menlo Park, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, East Palo Alto, Atherton, Portola Valley, Redwood City and Woodside. The Avenidas Senior Day Health Center offers quality adult day health care including nursing, social work and therapies, and a wide variety of classes and social activities.
