Out mission is to support the needs and programs of the Humboldt County Library System.
The Friends of the Redwood Libraries was incorporated in January 1966 to provide support and advocacy for the Humboldt County Library System. At present, the organization has approximately 360 paid members, as well as numerous honorary and complimentary memberships. Our major fundraising is through our sale of donated used books at our Serendipity Bookstore in the Eureka Main Library, over the Internet through abebooks.com and at our quarterly book sales. Over the past 10 years our annual gifts to the Library have averaged $40,000 and have been used for the purchase of library materials and supplies and equipment and to fund professional development opportunities for the staff.
