Mission Statement

NAMI -National Alliance on Mental Illness is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. All of NAMI programs and educational services are free.

Description

NAMI Broward County created the Multicultural Outreach Program in 2009 to eliminate disparities in mental health care for minority communities by ensuring access to culturally competent services and treatment. NAMI Broward County has begun offering free support and educational programs to residents in languages that reflect the primary languages spoken in the community. For the first time NAMI Broward is offering a NAMI Signature Program-Peer to Peer in Spanish.
