The YMCA of Saratoga raises funds through its Annual Campaign, We Build People, to help provide revenue for our Financial Assistance program. Proceeds from the 2008 We Build People Campaign, allowed the YMCA of Saratoga to grant over 900 scholarships to children, adults and families who otherwise could not afford to share in the YMCA experience. In addition to our fundraising activities, grant writing efforts help to create enough resources to meet the needs of a large number of individuals, children and families in our community.

The amount of assistance is based on the pool of resources that is contributed by individuals, families, organizations and businesses within our community and grants that are awarded by governmental agencies. Financial assistance can only be granted to the extent that it can be funded. All assistance is available based on demonstrated need without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or physical or mental handicap.
