Mission Statement

K-9 Search and Rescue of Texas ("SAR TX")is a volunteer non-profit corporation based in Houston, Texas. SAR TX, through the use of highly trained and tested handlers and their canine partners, provides assistance to local, state and federal agencies in the search for and the recovery of lost and missing persons. In addition, through community education programs, SAR TX strives to inform the public on how to avoid becoming lost and what to do if it happens.

Description

K-9 Search and Rescue of Texas ("SAR TX")is a non-profit canine search and rescue team serving the greater Houston and Texas Gulf Coast region. We are a group of dedicated volunteers that along with our canine partners assist responsible agencies in the seach for and recovery of lost or missing persons. Currently we have canine/handler teams training and working in air scenting, tracking and trailing and land cadaver.
