Mission Statement
Who we are.... Kurukulla Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies a member of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), was established in 1989 under the spiritual direction of Lama Zopa Rinpoche to provide Dharma teachings and retreats in the Boston area.
Description
Inspired by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lama Yeshe, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and resident teacher Geshe Tsulga, Kurukulla Center aims to be a supportive community of practitioners who study and practice the teachings of the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. We offer classes Tibetan Buddhism, and Buddhist meditation at a beginner and intermediate level. As well other activities include chanting ceremonies, yoga, group sutra recitation, spiritual support for the sick and dying (including pets), support for the Tibetan cause, Buddhist holiday celebrations and so forth.
