We accomplish our mission by 1) providing opportunities for volunteer tree planting and maintenance of trees, 2) by educating ourselves, policy-makers and the general public about our community's trees, 3) by celebrating the importance of trees and volunteer efforts, and 4) by creating partnerships to develop administrative capacity for our efforts.

Description

TREEmendous Miami is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization representing a merger of three successful Miami-Dade County environmental organizations in 1998: Trees for Dade, The City of Miami Beautification and the Environment Committee, and American Forests. TREEmendous Miami believes that by joining the expertise, project experience, volunteers and other resources from these three groups, it will create the best possible synergy for carrying forward it's ambitious mission to build community pride by reforesting the local community
