Mission Statement

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program has a dual purpose of engaging persons 55 and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers.

Description

RSVP provides human capital 'people power' to multiply the impact of its volunteer stations. The volunteers enable organizations to serve additional people, expand services offered, and build stronger programs.

Any person 55 years and older is eligible to be an RSVP volunteer. There are no educational, income or experience requirements, and no barriers to citizenship, race, creed, nationality or political affiliation.

There are NO dues, membership fees, or meetings to attend. RSVP offers its volunteers free supplemental insurance while volunteering, and free van transportation, if needed, to and from the volunteer's assignment. Other benefits include personalized volunteer assignments, training, newsletters, recognition events, social interaction and a chance to meet new people.
