The HP Alliance is dedicated to bringing together Harry Potter fans from everywhere to spread love and fight the Dark Arts in the real world and we need your help!

Help us replace the Dark Arts with love. Help us build the real Dumbledore's Army. Help us create an Alliance in the name of Harry Potter.

Description

Using a variety of resources on and off of the internet, the HP Alliance has been able to unite fans of the Harry Potter series in becoming more active in the world around them, especially in the area of human rights. We harness the power of new media with our web site: thehpalliance.org, an active listerv , cutting edge social networking mediums , podcasts, live conference calls, online Youtube videos, and a network of Harry Potter sites and Wizard Rock bands (indie rock bands that sing about Harry Potter). Through these avenues, the HPA is communicating with over 100,000 people on a regular basis.

By translating some of the world's most pressing issues such as the genocide in Darfur into the framework of Harry Potter, it makes activism something easier to grasp and less intimidating. While we educate our members about the root causes of genocide, we also show them easy it is to take action by working with our partner NGO's.
