Mission Statement
The NWA Center for Equality is a grassroots support and advocacy movement to achieve full equality for the LGBT community in Northwest Arkansas.
Description
History of the NWA Center for Equality The NWA Center for Equality was founded in June 2006 by Kay Massey and Lisa Rivers, two concerned citizens who saw a need in Northwest Arkansas. Though it may have seemed an insurmountable task at the time, the Center now serves as an advocate for LGBT equality throughout the region. Numerous individuals are to thank for the thousands of volunteer hours and selfless monetary contributions that have been donated since inception. Today the Center continues to strive to achieve the mission through its programming and day-to-day operations.
