Mission Statement

The mission of the Solano Mentor Collaborative is to carry out a strategy to strenghthen local mentoring programs, which includes increasing the number of adult mentors, to offer our communities's youth a means to make positive choices.

Description

SMC provides technical assistance to Solano county mentor programs by preparing caring adult volunteers by fingerprinting, screening, training,and background reference checks, and orienting them to the concept of mentoring. The organization assist mentors and agencies with ongoing support and provides resources, materials and references.
