Description

Arkansas Children's Hosptial, a private, non-profit institution, is the only pediatric medical center in the state and is the sixth largest in the nation. With 280 licensed beds, Arkansas Children's Hospital is a tertiary care, regional referral center treating children from birth to age 21, who come from every county in Arkansas and nearby states.

Much of the staff is not welcoming of volunteers and their desire to help. They act as if volunteers are of little value. I was very disappointed with ACH after volunteering there for three years. The kids are great but the volunteer organization is flawed.
