Mission Statement

It is the mission of The Science Place to inspire a passion for science through exploration, discovery, and life-long learning.

Description

The Science Place, founded in 1946, hosts over 800,000 visitors, including 225,000 school children, each year. The goal of The Science Place is to be the best eductaional center promoting science understanding to children and adults. Our building contains over 200 hands-on permanent exhibits, special traveling exhibits, an 80' IMAX theater, a newly renovated digital laser planetarium, cafe, and a science gift store.
